Theresa V. (Coleman) Jones

Theresa V. Jones was the third child born to Professor Eddie and Clarence Magnolia Peel Coleman on June 23, 1932.  She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Enon Baptist Church. 

She graduated from Central High School in 1950.  She attended Wiley College before moving to Los Angeles, California.  There she attended Los Angeles Trade Technical College and later UCLA. 

She married Edward Jones. To this union one child was born, Hjardis Yolanda Jones. 

Theresa worked at the Queen of Angeles Hospital (later named Queen of Angles/Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital) her entire work life.  She started out as a Nurse’s Aide, promoted up to being a Monitor’s Technician.  She enjoyed her job, the interacting with the patients, as well as her co-workers.  She worked there for over 45 years.  She retired in 1988 to enjoy her hobbies, gardening, as she had plenty different kinds of plants, and spending time with family and friends. 

She was proceeded in death by her parents, her brothers:  Horace Edward, Harold T, and Paul Reed, her sisters: Selma Loyce and Cleota. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Hjardis, her last sibling, Pearl Coleman, many nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.  

Services for Theresa Jones, 90, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida will be 11:00am Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Enon Baptist Church 26375 Tx-49, Jefferson, Texas 75657.  Burial will follow afterwards at Kellyville Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Lewis & Walker Funeral Home of Jefferson, Texas.

Mrs. Jones was born June 23, 1932 and transitioned August 12, 2022.

Mrs. Jones was 90 years old.
