Sylvester Randle, Sr. Was born on January 31, 1951 to Henry D. Radle and Lorene Randle. To this union 3 sons were born. Slyvester accepted Christ at an early age.
Sylvester graduated from Central High School in 1970 where played football, and boy could he play! In 1970 he married Theresa Green, and unto this union 4 beautiful children were born. In 1970 e was drafted in to the U.S. Army Airborne where he was a parachutist and served 2 years active duty. In 1973 he received an honorable discharge and later received his certificate as a brick layer. As time went on Sylvester and Theresa went their separate ways. He resided in Dallas, Texas for over 20 years and worked as a maintenance technician.
His family and friends knew him as “Syl” or “Hook.” He loved his family, sports and western movies. He will be sadly missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts.
He was preceded in death by his father , Henry D. Randle and his grandson LeVon Walton.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother: Lorene Randle, 2 brothers: Gary Randle (Kaye), James Randle, 1 bonus brother: Michael Wayne Berryman, 2 sisters: Phyllis Randle and Jackie Edwards, 2 bonus sisters: Jean (Phillip) and Monique Williams, 2 daughters: Yvonne Scott (Anthony), and Stephanie Walton (Emmitt), 2 sons: Sylvester Randle, Jr. (Angela) and Brian Randle. 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews aunts and uncles and other relatives and friends.
Services for Sylvester Randle, Sr., 72, of Dallas, Texas, are scheduled for Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Watts Chaple CME in Lodi, Texas under the direction of Lewis & Walker Funeral Home of Jefferson, Texas.
Sylvester was born January 31, 1951 and transitioned June 26, 2023 at Focused Care Hospice in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.
Sylvester was 72 years old.
