Rufus "Coon" Carr, Jr.

Rufus Carr, Jr. was born on July 7, 1952 to the union of the late Ola V. Carr (1979) and Rufus Carr, Sr. (1985) in Jefferson, Tx. Who proceeded him in death.  Also to proceed him in death was his loving wife Diana Carr, daughter, Daphanie Anderson and stepson Harvey Crawford. 

Rufus attended Central High School in Jefferson, Tx. He held down so many jobs during his lifetime. If it was up to him he would have been working until the end.  However, his illness took over and forced him to retire from his last job of three years at East Texas Forestry in Jefferson, Texas. He attended Judea Baptist Church of Jefferson, Texas. 

Rufus leaves to cherish his memories: loving children Rufus Carr III, Sonya Williams of Jefferson, Tx, Willie Tyrone Carr of Kenedy, Tx, Terry Smith, Kimberly Miles, RaShonkia Miles, Kendrick (Innocence) Miles of Marshall, Tx, Cedric Miles of San Antonio, Tx, stepchildren: Charleszetta Hudson of Jefferson, Tx, David Riley of Tennessee Colony, Tx, James (Elonda) Crawford of Grand Prairie, Tx. Two loving sisters Gwendolyn Rawls and Beverly Carr of Jefferson, Tx.  Special niece Aretha of Jefferson, Tx. Thirty Four grandchildren, Eight great grandchildren, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. 

Funeral Services for Rufus "Coon" Carr, Jr., 69, of Jefferson, Texas will be held at 11:00am Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Judea Baptist Church in Jefferson, Tx. under the direction of Lewis & Walker Funeral Home. Family visitation is Friday, February 18, 2022 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Lewis & Walker Funeral Home. 

Rufus was born July 7, 1952 and transitioned February 9, 2022. 

Rufus was 69 years old.
