Roy Wilson, Jr

Roy Wilson, Jr. was born Saturday, July 13, 1957 to Pinkie Mae Wilson and Roy Spencer, Sr. in Ft. Worth, Texas.  Roy answered his final call on Sunday, March 7, 2021 resting in his home.

He was proceeded in death by: his mother, Pinkie (Therkiel) Beckham: his father, Roy Spencer, Sr.; two sisters- Carolyn Clay and Shawna Ford; and one special niece, LaWanna Harris.

He attended school at Polytechnic Senior High School.

On January 15, 1979, Roy accepted his call to ministry under the leadership of Pastor John Tisdale at First Samaria Baptist Church in Ft. Worth, Texas.  He went on to assist many churches pastoring Belview Baptist Church and Mt. Ridge Baptist Church.  He served as assistant minister at Zion Baptist Church until his health failed. 

Funeral arrangements for Min. Roy Wilson, Jr, 63, of Karnack, Texas will be held on Saturday, 13, 2021 at 2:00pm in Marshall, Texas at the Texas Louisiana Baptist Association Building under the direction of Lewis & Walker Funeral Home of Jefferson, Texas.

Public Visitation will be held Friday, March 12, 2021 from 11:00am - 5:00pm at Lewis & Walker Funeral Home.  The family will gather that evening from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Funeral Home.

Internment will be at Kellyville Cemetery.
