Remus L. Shepard, son of the late Andrew Lee Shepard and Helen Shepard-Smith was born January 23, 1962 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He attended the public schools of Jefferson Independent School District and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1980, where he received his high school diploma.  At an early age he professed his faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized at Logan Chapel United Methodist Church in Smithland, Texas.

Remus developed a strong work ethic at an early age and while in high school he spent his summers working with his uncles at Shepard & Sons Construction in Kansas City, MO. After graduating from High School, he started working for Lone Star Steel in Lone Star, TX.  He later moved to Dallas, TX where he held various positions in Computer Information & Communication Technology and Computer Aided Design and Drafting with Fujitsu, CompuCom and Data Star Inc. Many years later Remus decided to make a career change where he moved to Kansas City, MO to work in the construction industry. He eventually became owner/operator of his own concrete business, Artistic Concrete Solutions, where he worked until his untimely departure.

Remus entered his eternal sleep on Wednesday, April 8, 2020. He had fought a good fight, he had kept the faith, he had finished the course, and he was ready to receive his crown. He was preceded in death by his father Andrew Lee Shepard and mother Helen Shepard-Smith.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted daughter, Jasmine Shepard of Arlington, TX; granddaughter, Allanah Owens of Arlington, TX; grandson, Eylan White of Arlington, TX: sisters, Helen Tucker of Jefferson, TX: Shelia Cheatam (Tracy) of Heartland, TX; Sharon Bonner (David) of Fort Worth, TX; Crystal Johnson (Arnold) of Longview, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
