Rebecca A. Ervin

Rebecca A. Ervin was born April 17, 1946 in Marion County, Texas. She was born to Hezekiah Ellis and Marie Coverson. Rebecca transitioned to be with her heavenly father, August 7, 2024. Everyone knew her as “Mrs. Becky. ” Rebecca was saved and filled with the holy ghost. She married Alvin L. Ervin, Sr. on April 12, 1967. They raised six boys and one girl together. Rebecca was an amazing mother, grandmother, great - grandmother, sister, and friend. Rebecca worked for Jefferson Independent School District as a bus driver for 20 plus years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Ervin, Sr, the love of her life; parents, Hezekiah and Marie Ellis; brother, Charles Ellis; sisters, Diana Crawford Carr, Allie Pearl Ellis, and Addie Ervin; sisters -in -law, Mae Lois Green, Ada Ellis; brother -in -law, Gerald Green; and great -grandson, Jahsyiah Ervin. She leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Sherry Smith ( Willie), Curtis Ellis, Alfred Ellis (Angela), Roscoe Willis, Chester Living (Tasha), Richard Ervin (Cherry), Alvin Ervin, Jr. (Carla); sister, Cynthia Henderson (Roy); brother, George Martinez (Maud), special sister and brother, Sue and Michael Ranta; grandchildren, Kadejra Davis, Kanisha Ellis, Sherbrell and Michael Norris, Terrell Connor, Rorry Connor, Tamekia Connor (Nyaisha), Rameon Green, Kahlia Ervin, Richard Ervin, Jr., Chesten Living, Ana Living, Lauryn Metcalf (Chandler), Kaitlyn Ervin and Gianna Ervin; great -grandchildren, Daizon, Ja ’Mykel, Ja ’Quavis, Tynia, Michael and Kaymee; she, also, leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services for Rebecca A. Ervin, 78, of Jefferson, Texas are 11:00am Saturday August 17, 2024, at the Kellyville Community Center in Jefferson, Texas under the direction of Lewis & Walker Funeral Home and burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Jefferson, Texas.

Rebecca was born April 17, 1946 and transitioned August 7, 2024 in Longview at Christus Good Shepard surrounded by beloved family and friends.

Rebecca was 78 years old.
