Raymond Williams Obituary

Services for Raymond A. "Flap" Williams, 73, of Jefferson, will be Friday, December 21, 2018 at Jefferson Community Center. Burial will follow at Cypress Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Lewis & Walker Funeral Home in Jefferson. There will be a time of visitation from 12:00 until 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Raymond Williams was born June 8, 1945 in Linden, Texas to Harry Simon and Orene Williams. He departed this life on December 16, 2018. Mr. Williams attended Fairview High School and worked in the concrete industry. He united with Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Linden at an early age.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Simon and Orene Williams; and one brother, Karlton Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memories two sisters, Joyce (Joe) Johnson , Joann (Eugene) Mitchell both of Jefferson; three stepchildren, Jeanette Webb, Willie Webb, and Anthony Webb of Dallas; one aunt, Clydell Chism of Dallas; one Godchild, Armentra Cookies of Jefferson; a very close friend, Joe Moody of Jefferson; and a number of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
