Raymond Manis

Raymond Todd Manis, 70, of Linden-Kildare, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on September 2, 2025, surrounded by his beloved family and friends.

Raymond was born on October 23, 1954, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Johnny Raymond Manis and Isophene Adel Cole. After graduating from high school, he built a long and dedicated career as an electrician with Alcoa, where he later retired. Known for his love of the outdoors, Raymond especially enjoyed fishing and playing golf, pastimes that brought him joy and lasting memories with those closest to him.

On March 7, 2017, Raymond married Annette Hunt in Atlanta, Texas, and together they shared a life filled with love, companionship, and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Johnny Manis, Jr.; and his son-in-law, James Nesselrode.

Raymond is survived by his devoted wife, Annette Manis; his children, Mike Manis and wife Michele of Granger, Indiana; his daughter, Jana Nesselrode of Avinger, Texas; and his bonus daughter, Danielle Moore of Fort Worth, Texas. He will also be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Tristan, Braedan, Keegan, Kaylee, and Trenton; his bonus grandchild, London; his brother, Ralph Manis and wife Betsy; and his sister, Penny Melville.

A memorial service honoring Raymond’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Indian Hills Country Club in Atlanta, Texas.

Raymond will be remembered for his kind spirit, his dedication to family, and the many ways he touched the lives of those around him. His presence will be deeply missed but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Manis was born October 23, 1954, and transitioned September 2, 2025, at his home surrounded by beloved family and friends.

Mr. Manis was 70 years old.
