Pearl Lee Coleman was the sixth child born to Professor Eddie and Clarence Magnolia Peel Coleman on July 7, 1940. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Enon Baptist Church.
She graduated from Central High School in 1958. She attended college here in Texas before moving to Los Angeles, California. There she attended Cal State Dominguez Hills and received a bachelor's degree in Psychology. Pearl worked for South Central Mental Health Services, Los Angeles County for over 36 years. She enjoyed her job. She retired in 1998 and moved back home to Texas in May of 2002. While in California she was a member at Greater Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church.
She enjoyed farming, gardening, and even helped out with Blessings of Grace Food Pantry. She was a Sunday school teacher at Enon Baptist Church, and she was also in the church choir.
Pearl was proceeded in death by her parents, her brothers: Horace, Edward, Harold T., and Paul Reed; her sisters: Selma Loyce, Cleota, and Theresa V.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Tanoa Leflore, many nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
Services for Pearl Coleman, 82, of Jefferson, Texas will be 11:00am Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Enon Baptist Church in Jefferson, Texas and burial will follow at Kellyville Cemetery.
Pearl was born July 7, 1940, and transitioned December 2, 2022, at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, Texas.
Mrs. Coleman was 82 years old.
