Patrick Lee Smith

Patrick Lee Smith, born on August 11, 1974, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to the late Oscar Moore and Annie Wheeler, passed away on January 11, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. Patrick’s life was a testament to hard work, creativity, and the deep love he held for his family and friends.

Patrick attended Marshall High School, where he began cultivating the strong work ethic and vibrant personality that would define his life. His career spanned decades of dedication and leadership, beginning with over 10 years at Texas Instruments and 15 years with the Dallas News Messenger. Later, Patrick achieved great success as the CEO of CleanNet USA, where he inspired those around him with his vision and determination.

Patrick’s dynamic spirit extended beyond his professional life. He was deeply passionate about music, known for his talent as a rapper and his ability to bring people together as a DJ at parties and events. His charisma and love of life were contagious, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Patrick leaves to cherish his memory his devoted mother, Annie Wheeler; two beloved children, Bria Petties and Xanalandreous Pierson; his treasured grandson, Carter George; and his long-time partner, Bridget Hernandez, along with her children, Lacy and Asanta, whom he loved as his own. He is also survived by his siblings Yolanda (Danny) Alexander, Lionel Wheeler, and Ciji Wheeler, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Preceding him in death was his father, Oscar Moore.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at The Smith Community Center, located at 700 Spring St., Marshall, Texas, 75670. In honor of Patrick’s love for the Dallas Cowboys, attendees are encouraged to wear their Cowboys attire.

Patrick’s legacy of love, laughter, and leadership will live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be cherished for eternity.

Patrick was born August 11, 1974 and transitioned January 11, 2025 in Dallas, Texas. 
Mr. Smith was 50 years old.
