Margarett Grant was born on September 4, 1939 to Grady Smith, Sr. and Queen Esther Figures. She attended Jefferson Public Schools. Margarett Grant attended Shady Grove Church of Christ. 

She was proceeded in death by her husband, George Grant, Jr., and her son Roy Lee Grant. 

She leaves to cherish her memories three children: Martha (Robert) Love, Washington (Terry) Lee Grant, and Marie Grant. 

Her grandchildren include: Michael Darty of Jefferson, Sinard Alex Ballard of Pennsylvania, Allison Ballard of Maryland, Benjamin (Aniah) Ballard of Virgina, Zion Ballard of Jefferson, Washington Lee Grant, II and Desiree Elise Grant both of Amarillo, TX 

Services for Mrs. Margaret Grant, 82, of Jefferson, Texas are scheduled for 2:00pm Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Shady Grove Church of Christ in Jefferson, Texas and a Family Hour will be 7:000pm - 8:00pm Friday, April 15, 2022 at Lewis and Walker Funeral Home.

Margaret was born September 4, 1939 and transitioned on April 7, 2022.

Margaret was 82 years old.
