Services for Joshua Cole, 67, of Jefferson, will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2017 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Gethsemame.  Burial to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery, under the direction of Lewis and Walker Funeral Home in Jefferson.

Joshua was the eighth child born to Deacon Adam Cole, Sr. and Princetta Williams Cole. He was educated in Smithland Elementary School and Central Hugh School, Jefferson, Texas. At an early age he accepted Christ as his personal savior and was baptized into the Bethlehem Baptist Church family. He was united in holy matrimony with in Jewanna Diann Durden August 1995. Joshua served as deacon and treasurer at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Joshua was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; seven brothers; and one son, Stacey Cole.

He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Jewanna Diann Cole; two brothers, Sammie Cole of Dallas, Texas and Josiah Cole of Midland, Texas; two sisters, Hattie M. Cole of Jefferson and Marie Davis (John) of Dallas, Texas; a number of nephews and nieces; caretaker, Freddie Perkins; cousin/big sister, Velma Cowling; and a host of other relatives and friends.
