Allie pearl Ellis and Raymond, Sr., gave birth to a God- fearing child on September 29, 1976 in Jefferson, Texas. He is the youngest of 6 children.
Joel accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Olive Baptist Church under Rev. Beckham.
He never met a stranger that he wouldn’t help. He genuinely loved everyone whole heartedly and would have given the shirt off his back. He touched every soul in his own way. Joel was a devoted husband, son, father, brother and uncle.
Joel is preceded in death by his mother and father, Allie Pearl Ellis and Raymond Green, Sr., and one brother Raymond Green, Jr., and one sister, Regina Johnson.
His memory will forever be cherished by his wife, Shenequa Palmer, four sons, Isaiah Green, Javarrian Green, Javonc’e Green and Jaquavion Green. One sister, Cathy Smith. Two brothers, Admiral Smith, and Allen Green (Shonda), one special daughter, KeAsia Norris, five aunts, one uncle, and a host of nieces, nephews, many cousins, and friends.
He may be gone but never forgotten.

Services for Joel L. Green, 46, of Dallas, Texas will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the Jefferson Junior High School Auditorium and burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Jefferson, Texas. Visitation will be Friday, March 24, 2023 at Lewis & Walker Funeral Home from 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Joel was born September 29, 1976, and transitioned March 17, 2023, at Methodist Charlton Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
Joel was 46 years old.
