Joe Earl Luster

On January 23, 1952, Arthur James and Daisy Mae Luster became the proud parents of a baby boy whom they named Joe Earl Luster. Joe was born in Marion County. He attended elementary school at Smithland and graduated with the class of 1970 at Central High School. Joe joined church at an early age. He loved his hunting, fishing, and was a hardworking man that loved his music, BBQing for all to come by and enjoy. He was a friend to all, and he never met a stranger. Joe had his own special relationship with each and every grandchild, great grandchild whom he adored. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and leaves to cherish his memories: 4 sisters, Lillie Tyson, Mary (Marvin) Elliot, Irma Waller, and Evelyn (Willie) Fegan all of Dallas, Texas. One brother, Arthur Lee Luster, of Jefferson, Texas and on bonus brother, Joe Cook of Frost, Texas. On December 24, 1973, Joe was married to the love of his life, Stella Louise Hudson and to this union four children were born. Joe leaves to cherish in his memories his loving wife of 51 years, Stella Luster, two sons; Joe Earls Luster, Jr. (Jennifer), and Demarcus James Luster. Two daughters Tramekia Luster (Roderick) and Regina Luster (Wood) all of Jefferson, Texas. 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  

Services for Mr. Joe Earl Luster, 73, of Jefferson, Texas, will be held at 11:00am August 16, 2025, at the Texas Louisiana Baptist Association Building in Marshall, Texas. A visitation will be Friday, August 15, 2025, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Lewis & Walker Funeral Home.

Mr. Luster was born January 23, 1952, in Jefferson, Texas and he transitioned peacefully surrounded by beloved family and friends August 4, 2025, in Longview, Texas at Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center.

Mr. Luster was 73 years old.
