Services for JoCasta Earl Evans, 43, of Overton, Texas, will be held at 12:00 noon, Sunday May 12, 2024 at Emmanuel Seventh Day Adventist Church in Marshall, Texas and burial will follow immediately afterwards at Pine Bluff Cemetery in Marshall, Texas under the direction of Lewis & Walker Funeral Home of Jefferson, Texas.

Mr. JoCasta Earl Evans (Haynes) was born in Marshall, Texas on September 8, 1980 to his parents, Howard Earl Haynes and Carolyn (Smith) Evans.

He accepted Christ at a very early age at Pine Bluff Baptist Church in Marshall, Texas. He attended Marshall Independent School District and Jefferson Seventh-Day Adventist Academy. He went on the graduate from ATI Technical Training Center in 2009 and studied at PCI Health Training Center for 2011 - 2016. He was awarded a Guidance and Loyalty certificate from Security Operation Group in 2023 and was named Officer of the Month.

He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Earl Haynes; grandfather, Benjamin Haynes; grandparents, Youree Williams and Gracie Lee (Harris) Williams; Sterling Smith and Bertha Mae (Jackson) Smith.

He leaves to cherish his memories: mother, Carolyn Smith Evans Haynes; three sisters, Louise (Curtis) Hopkins, LaShaunda Evans, and Carolyn Mason; three brothers, Darin Evans, Michael (Sandra) Smith, and Howard Earl Haynes, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
