Jim "Jimmy" Smith

Services for Jim Henry "Jimmy" Smith will  be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Jefferson Junior High School. Burial will follow at Lewis Chapel Cemetery under the direction Lewis and Walker Funeral Home. There will be a time of visitation from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith was born April 8, 1938 to the parentage of Prentis Smith and New Orlean Mathis in Lodi, Texas. He worked self employed as a farmer.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Prentis Smith; sister, Flordia Smith; brothers, Comidore Smith, Hyram Smith, Willie Prentis Smith; and son, Tray Lamar Jackson.

The loved ones he has left to cherish his memory is his children, Curtis Ellis of Jefferson, Eureker Jackson of Vivian, and Cathlene Smith of Houston; sisters, Margaret Gross of Conroe, Earsirene Hodge of Los Angeles, La Joyce Booth of San Francisco, Mye Carolyn Oats of Dallas; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
