Jhurnee Taraji Williams Justice
"J-Mae"
January 16, 2009 – February 18, 2025
With hearts full of love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Jhurnee Taraji Williams Justice, affectionately known as "J-Mae," who transitioned on February 18, 2025, at the age of 16. A beloved daughter, sister, and friend, Jhurnee was a radiant presence who brought joy and light into the lives of those around her.
Born on January 16, 2009, to Davis Justice and Shatara Williams, Jhurnee was a spirited and ambitious young woman. She found joy in dancing, creating TikTok videos, editing graphics, and playing GTA. A dedicated Girl Scout and a natural leader, she also enjoyed tutoring her peers, always eager to uplift those around her. Her dream was to become a physician’s assistant, a reflection of her compassionate heart and desire to care for others. Jhurnee’s bright personality, endless energy, and kind spirit will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Davis Justice Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving parents; her devoted siblings, Sygunda Cooksie, Davisha Justice, Davis Justice III, Dakyron Justice, Terahnee Williams, and Londyn Greenhoward; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives, and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Cypress Valley Bible Church in Marshall, Texas. Following the service, Jhurnee will be laid to rest at Judea Cemetery in Jefferson, Texas.
Public visitation will take place on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lewis & Walker Funeral Home.
Though Jhurnee’s time with us was far too short, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
