James E. Warren, Sr.

Mr. James Earl Warren, Sr.” Luther” was born in Jefferson, Tx., to the parents of Mr. James Arthur Warren and Mrs. Hulene Johnson Warren. James attended public schools in Dallas, Texas and Jefferson, Texas, graduating from Central High School in Jefferson in 1970.  James worked with Marion County schools. Later, moving to Dallas, Tx where he worked with DISD and later becoming self-employed in maintenance.  James was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. James A. and Mrs. Hulene Warren; five brothers, Norris Warren, Earnest Warren, Larry Warren, John Warren, and Peter Warren; two sisters, Imogene Grant and Pauline Warren. 

James united in Matrimony with Mary Wagoner Warren and to this union they were blessed with four children. 

He leaves to cherish his memories two daughters, Ms. Shar Warren of Jefferson, and Ms. Arlesia (Maurice) Williams of Marshall, Tx.; two sons, James E. Warren, Jr., and Clarence Wagoner, both of Jefferson, Tx.; One brother Joseph Warren of Jefferson, Tx.; three sisters, Lennie (Daniel) Tuggle of Dallas, Tx., Imogene Sheppard of Kilgore, Tx., Henrietta Scott of Jefferson, Tx., 15 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren  and a host of nieces and nephews. 

Services for James E. Warren, 71, of Jefferson, Texas will be held at 11:00am Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Lewis & Walker Funeral Home. You may visit  Mr. Warren Friday, March 24, 2023 from 11:00am to 5:00pm at Lewis & Walker Funeral Home.  

Mr. Warren was born August 4, 1951 and transitioned March 15, 2023 in Tyler Texas surrounded beloved family. 

Mr. Warren was 71 years old.
