J.C. Brown

J.C. Yancy Brown was born November 9, 1945 in Karnack, Texas . He was baptized at an early age at Cypress Chapel Baptist Church in Jefferson, Texas

He received his education from the Dallas Public School System and later received his Associates of Applied Science degree. J.C. was a Vietnam Veteran and after his commitment to the military her worked and retired from General Tire.

J.C. maternal mother Mary Yancy Brown, adopted mother Annie Brown Henderson, and his twin brother W.C. Yancy have all preceded him in death.

He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Jesse Lambert; father, Elder J.T. Henderson; three daughters, Celita Brown, Kina (Eddie) Smith (Dallas, Texas), and Charlandra Quinn (Waco Texas); one son, Edward (Jan) Lambert  (Waco, Texas); thirteen grandchildren, Jalen and Jared Brown (Dallas, Texas), Donovan, Kyron, Darron, and Keenon Smith  (Dallas, Texas) Keisha Quinn, Robert Lewis, Rashard, Trent, Lanisha and Jatavia Lambert of Waco Texas; five great grandchildren, Trevion Quinn, Ambree, Adrian, Rashard Lambert Jr, and Keiona Sims (Waco, Texas); three brothers, Maurice (Joyce) Brown (Jefferson, Texas), Lorenzo (Dolphus) Brown (Marshall, Texas), Leon Norris (Texas City, Texas); a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.

Services for Mr. Brown will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Collier Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will follow t Cypress Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Lewis & Walker Funeral Home. There will be a time of visitation form 12:00 until 5:00 Friday at the funeral home.
