Hargrove Roberson

Hargrove Roberson of Foster City, California was born in Jefferson, Texas on October 25, 1930, the son of the late David 'Jim' Roberson and Elizabeth (Smith) Roberson of Jefferson, Texas. He is the grandson of the late John Smith and Roxana 'Roxie' Brown-Smith of Jefferson, Texas. Hargrove is the great grandson of the late Elvira (last name unknown), and the late Henry Brown and Winaford Brown of Jefferson, Texas.
Hargrove was a member of the Cypress Chapel Baptist Church in Jefferson, Texas where he was baptized at a young age. After serving 18 years in the US Air Force, he moved to
Richmond, California with his cousin Nellie Ray 'Danky' Ozen.
Hargrove worked at the Ford Motor Company for 40+ years as a Senior Executive and consultant after retirement. He was an ardent fan of the San Francisco 49ers football team and the Sacramento Warriors basketball team.
Hargrove is married to the late Norma Jean (Smith) Roberson, and survived by his sister, Narvell (Robinson) Johnson (Isaac Johnson), stepchildren, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceding in death are his siblings; eldest sister Vinnie May Roberson, Willis Robertson, JD Roberson and Oraestress 'Lay' (Robinson) Terry.
Hargrove will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Graveside service for Mr. Hargrove Roberson, 92, of Foster, California, will be held 11:00am, March 26, 2022 at Driskell Cemetery in Karnack, Tx. 
A family hour will be held Friday, March 25, 2022 at Lewis & Walker Funeral Home.
