Floyd Durden was born March 29, 1946. He was born the baby of the bunch to the late Floyd Durden Sr., and Sweetie Durden, both of Jefferson, Texas.
Floyd accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age while attending Douglas Chapel Church.
Floyd was married to the late Leatrice Durden, and to this union five children were born.
Floyd was proceeded in death by two children, Edward Durden and Terry Durden, nine brothers; Ennis Watkins, Charles Watkins, Audrey Watkins, Jimmy Williams, Kermit Williams, Maurice Williams, Warren Williams, Willie Hodge, and James Watkins, two sisters; Rosetta Watkins and Laurice Williams.
Those left to cherish Floyd’s earthly memories are Gloria (Albert) Taylor of Jefferson, Texas, Kenneth Durden and Chell La Faggan of Longview, Texas, Shatara and Cory Sowells of Dallas, Texas, Scottie and Nahshea Durden of Longview, Texas and Emmitt Rubin of Dallas, Texas, and one sister; Dorothy Watkins of Arizona.
Eighteen grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services for Mr. Floyd Durden, 75, of Jefferson, Texas will be 11:00am Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the Lewis & Walker Funeral Home of Jefferson, Texas.
Mr. Durden was born March 29, 1946 and transitioned on January 05, 2022. Mr. Durden was 75 years old.
