Emory Turner

Emory Turner (Jr.) was born April 18, 1931 to the late Guffie and Mattie Mae Turner.  He attended school at Longridge Schools in Marshall, TX.

Jr. accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior early in his life and became a member of the Church of the Living God-Temple 79, Lodi, Tx. He was one of the greatest saw men in the pulpwood industry.  He was also an avid fisherman and hunter.

Jr. was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. Brothers: Earnest Turner, George Turner, Joseph Turner; Sisters: Lela Robbins, Herice Dillard, Ola Mae Murray, Alane Turner, Ruby Buckley, Ethel Lewis, a special niece, Lori Diane King-Owens and a very special friend, Mary Perkins.

He leaves to cherish his memory:  His sister: Gladys (E.L) Martin, Lodi, TX and a host of nieces and nephews and close friends.

Services for Mr. Emory "Buck" Turner AKA Jr. Turner, 91, of Lodi, Texas will be held 11:00am Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Galloway Cemetery in Kildare, Texas under the direction of Lewis & Walker Funeral Home of Jefferson, Texas.

Emory was born April 18, 1931 and transitioned peacefully March 02, 2023 at Magnolia's Place in Jefferson, Texas.

Emory was 91 years old.
