Elmer Kelly

Elmer Lee Kelly of Jefferson , fell asleep in death on February 17, 2023. He was born on October 13,1953 in Linden Texas to the late Mattie L. and RD Kelly. He attended school in Jefferson Texas. Elmer devoted his life to Christ at an early age. He had a passion at an early age for motorcycle riding, but his most loved hobby was crossword puzzles, and he had a HUGE passion for fishing! Elmer is proceeded in death by 3 brothers Robert E Kelly, Henry L Kelly and Johnnie W Kelly. 2 sisters Birdia M Kelly and Frankie L Lee. Elmer leaves his MANY fun cherished memories to David Smith and George Hartfield who he considered his sons, his siblings Onedia Parker (Leon), RD Kelly(Dana), Faye Murphy, and George Kelly (Sharonda) and D Bolden. Also Tammy Whitaker , Kepha Luster and Alexia Whitaker who all meant the world to him. He also leaves many, many, fun memories with a huge host of nephews and nieces whom all enjoyed being in the company of "Uncle Elmer" and his best friend/lil brother Clayborn Smith Jr.
 

Funeral Services for Mr. Elmer Kelly, 69, of Jefferson, Texas will be 11:00am Saturday, February 25, 2023 at The Jefferson Community Center in Jefferson, Tx.

Public visitation will be from 11:00am until 5:00pm Friday February 24, 2023 at Lewis &  Walker Funeral Home.

Elmer was born October 13, 1953 and he transitioned peacefully February 17, 2023 surrounded by beloved family and friends. 

Elmer was 68 years old.
