Ella Jane Stevens, beloved daughter, niece, and cherished aunt, transitioned peacefully on December 24, 2024, at the age of 69. Born on August 8, 1955, in Jefferson, Texas, to Minnie Stevens, Ella’s life was a testament to faith, love, and devotion to family.

As a young child, Ella attended Pine Grove Baptist Church, where she established her lasting relationship with Christ. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing her with strength and guidance throughout her journey.

Ella had a passion for cooking, reading, and traveling, often finding joy in the simple and beautiful moments of life. Her kitchen was a haven of love and warmth, where cherished memories were made with family and friends.

For 10 years, Ella dedicated herself to her work as a sales associate at Neiman Marcus, where her professionalism and kindness left a lasting impression on her colleagues and clients alike.

Ella was preceded in death by her dear mother, Minnie Stevens; her grandmother and guiding light, Florence Stevens; her aunts Mae Ella Lee, Mary Lynn Wright, and Lela Gaderson; her uncle Bennie Stevens; her nephew Lee Edward Hightower Jr.; and six beloved cousins.

Ella’s memory will be forever treasured by those she leaves behind: Lee Hightower and his wife, Brenda; Karen Else and Walter; her nephews, Andre Hightower (and his wife Monica), Rodney Martin, Devin Wilford, and Daquan Martin; her nieces, Bree Hightower, Brooke Hightower, Cintrina Hightower, and Kaydence Roland; and a host of extended family members, friends, and loved ones.

Ella’s love, grace, and unwavering faith touched all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of kindness and devotion will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Funeral Services:
A funeral service honoring Ella’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the Lewis & Walker Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Coverson Cemetery in Jefferson, Texas.

Ms. Stevens was born August 8, 1955, and transitioned December 24, 2024, in Dallas, Texas.

Ella was 69 years old.
