Eddie “Roy” Davis

Mr. Eddie Roy Davis was born February 14, 1952 in Rockwall, Texas; Eddie Roy was the son of Katherine and the late M.C. Davis.  Gifted with a slick talk, biting wit, a hearty laugh and a penchant for telling jokes, Eddie Roy was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Eddie Roy was full of life.  He brought joy and laughter to all he came in contact with.  His greatest joys were listening to music and spending time with his family; he was dearly loved by them and will forever live on in the smile of their hearts.  Eddie Roy transitioned from this earthly life February 22, 2021.

Eddie Roy was proceeded in death by his father M.C. Davis; brothers AC Davis and Doyle Davis; sister Eva Davis; his nephew Sustannish Preston and  a great niece Meya Broughton.

Eddie Roy leaves cherished, precious memories and smiles to his wife Dawn Davis; his mother Katherine Davis; sisters Willie Faye Gutzler (Victor), Kathy Taylor (Jessie), Barbara Wiley (Bo); children Dawn Walker and LaShandra Walker Powell; grandchildren Kenneth Walker, Shanqwuisia Butler, Ashley Butler, Shaderricka Majors, Felicia Walker Powell, Myrikal Walker, Jeremiah O'Dell-Walker, and Tunisia Walker, Donnie Walker , Kadarius Walker, Kadavion Walker, Donnita Walker, Dontrelle Walker, Destiny Ford, Travon Davis; great grandchildren Brianna Butler, Jalisa Mason, Jayanti Butler, Destiny Mason, Germion Butler, Ted MasonIV, DeAndre Butler, Xzavaughn Blevins, Jaylen Walker, D'kharia Cottrell, Kerriona Cottrell; special friend Geraldine Canada; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and a plethora of friends.   

Funeral services for Mr. Eddie Roy Davis will be held Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Lewis &Walker Funeral Home. 
Public Visitation will be Friday, March 5, 2021 at Lewis and Walker Funeral Home from 11:00am - 5:00pm

Internment will follow at New Prospect Cemetery in Harleton, Texas.
