Dortha Ann Grissom was born September 30, 1945 in Marion County, Texas to Woodrow and Corine Grant. She attended Central High School in Jefferson, Texas. She later went on and followed her passion to became a cook at the local truck stop and at Brookshires. She was a caretaker for her mother and her husband until their last days. Dortha was a member of Watts Chapel Church in Lodi, Texas and she enjoyed helping the people in her community. She put her gift of cooking to good use by making sure that if anyone needed something to eat she would cook them a good meal.
Dortha was proceeded in death by her Husband Nathaniel Grissom Sr, her father Woodrow Grant Sr., her mother, Corine Grant, three sisters: Alice Newman, Shirley Wright, and Lillian Grant, two brothers: J.D. Grant and Hurles Grant.
She leaves to cherish her memories a son: Nathaniel Grissom Jr. (Dana) Four grandglildren:
Anthony Perry, Jose Lopez, Melody Johnson, and Kendra Grissom. Four brothers: Woodrow Grant Jr., Rickey Grant (Debra), Melvin Grant (Ulanda), Tracy Grant (Lasonja), Two Sisters: Gloria Bridges (Leroy) and Dessie Willis. She also leaves to cherish her memories a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Graveside Services for Dorothy A. Grissom,75, of Lodi, Texas will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Lewis Chapel Cemetery in Lodi, Texas at 10:30am under the direction of Lewis & Walker Funeral Home.

Mrs. Grissom was born September 30, 1945 and passed away August 22, 2021.
