Dorothy Jean Edney

Dorothy Jean Edney was the first child born to the late James Edney and Dorothy Mar Edney.  She attended school at Victory School.  She was a faithful member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.  She loved being a homemaker.  She took pride in cultivating and working in the garden at home.

She was proceeded in death by her parents James Edney and Dorothy Mae Edney, two sisters, Peggy Edney and Alfreda Edney.

She is survived by two children, Tonia Edney Jackson (Anthony) of Fort Worth and Darren Edney of Jefferson.  Three brothers: Lewis Edney of Dallas, Victor Edney of Dallas, and Willie Edney of Dallas.  Three sisters: Mary Edney of Dallas, Alice EdneyTuck of Dallas, and Jackie Edney of Houston.  One Grandson: Tevon Edney of Jefferson.

Graveside Services for Dorothy Edney, 79, of Jefferson, Texas are scheduled for Friday January 15, 2021 at 11:00am at Pyland Cemetery in Avinger, Texas with Lewis & Walker Funeral Home

Visitation will be Thursday January 14, 2021 at Lewis & Walker Funeral Home Chapel.
