Charles Cooksie Obituary

In Loving Honor of Charles Dantrell Cooksie Sr./ Charles Dantrell Cookste Sr. was a man of unwavering faith, deep love, and undentable presence. To the boys, he was Pops. To us girls, he was Daddy. To all who knew him, he was a protector, a provider, a haler, and a man whose heart left a lasting mark.

Firm in his faith and devoted to God, Charles lived with purpose and conviction. His love for his children was passionate, flerce, and unconditional. He was the kind of father who would be anywhere and do anything for the ones he loved, never hesitating to show up when he was needed.

An electrician by trade, Charles was known as a true Mr. Fix It. If he knew how to do something did tel. f he didn't, he was determined to learn, figure it out, and get the job done. He never backed down from a challenge and never shied away from hard work, difficult situations, or doing what needed to be done — even when others didn't understand it.

Charles was confident in who he was. He never tried to be anyone or anything outside of the best man of God and the best father he could be. He was strong-willed, stubborn, and determined —qualties that made him dependable, resifient, and unforgettable.

He was also incredibly goofy and funny, always able to bring laughter in his own special way - even tf sometimes he was the only one laughing. That was part of what made him so uniquely him. He lived authentically, loved fully, and stood in his own confidence without apology

Charles had a heart for people. He was neighborly, selfless, and always willing to help were or he file the needs of many, often gotng out of his way to make sure others were taken care of He lovd dagly and fraue of that, he was loved deeply in return.

He found joy in adventure, in staying active, in learning new things, in seeing new places, and in being present for the people he loved. He embraced life with curiosity, strength, and style — and yes, he loved hits smell gods.

Charles will be remembered for hts heart, his fatth, his willingness to serve, and the way he always extended himself for others. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and communtty that will continue to live on. through his family and everyone blessed to know him.

His legacy lives on through his four children, his stepdaughter, and its five grandchildren.

He has also been lovingly reunited with his parents older siblings, and one heavenly grandchild, who we know Is now able to see him, hug him, and play with him.

We honor Charles not with only sorrow, but with deep gratitude for the life he lived, the love he gave, and the legacy he leaves behind.
