Carolyn Fay Lee was born July 14, 1951. She was the cherished daughter of Mae Ella Lee and Quinon Lee who have preceded her in death along with two brothers, Bennie Ray Lee and Clarence Edgar Lee.
Her legacy continues through her devoted daughter, Shawnna Young (Michael), her treasured four grandchildren, Ubreeka Johnson (Bacardi), Camysha Knighten (Samuel), LeBrock Beach, and Larens Young, a special granddaughter, Markeisha, and thirteen beautiful great grandchildren, one goddaughter Ishaya Gorden, her beloved brother Kenneth Charles Lee, three beautiful sisters, Lauren Jordan (Kerry), Maureen Porter, Tracy Porter, and a very special friend, Larry Bullard. She’s loved by a host of nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of extended family and close friends who were blessed by her warmth and kindness.
A proud graduate of Central High School in Jefferson, Texas, Class of 1969. She carried her love of learning throughout her life, touching countless lives with her wisdom and infectious joy. Her passion for teaching was evident in every encounter as she imparted knowledge and kindness to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was an educator for thirty plus years. She was very dedicated and loved.
In her professional journey, she was an educator in Houston, Texas, before retiring and returning to her roots to make Hughes Springs, Texas her home. There she found a new spiritual family at Williams Chapel in Naples, Texas, where she contunued to spread her light and joy.
An avid lover of sports, she was known affectionately as “Speedy” on the softball fields of Oklahoma and Georgia. Her powerful speed as a fast pitcher and her swift grace on the bases were legendary. Watching her play and race brought immense joy to those around her. Her creative spirit thrived through her love for stitching designs on clothing, crocheting blankets, and solving/doing puzzles. Each piece she crafted was a testament to her patience and love.

Mrs. Lee was born July 14, 1951, in Jefferson, Texas and transitioned April 4, 2026, in Carrollton, Texas surrounded by beloved family and friends.
Mrs. Lee was 74 years old.
