Bernice Edward Reid

On October 6, 2023 the Angles of silence came to visit Mr. Bernice E. Reid and with chilly fingers sealed his lips. His soul winged it’s flight from this world of sin, sorrow, and pain, to a place of eternal rest. 

Mr. Bernice was born December 1, 1953, in Jefferson, Texas. He was the son of Henry C. Nash and Lucille Reid Nash. He united with Lewis Chapel at an early age. He attended school in Jefferson, Texas. He married Cynthia Walker Reid at an early in life and to this union two daughters were born; Tosha and Tonya Reid.  

He leaves to cherish his memories, two brothers, Johnny Nash and Bruce Nash, both of Jefferson, Texas. One sister, Letica Nash Brown of Houston, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. 

Services for Mr. Reid will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Lewis & Walker Funeral Home in Jefferson, Texas.
