Antone Craig (Jr.) Jones

Antone Craig Jones Jr. was Born on October 10, 2007, in Mt. Pleasant, Tx. Antone was born the first grandson, great-grandson, and nephew. He was a beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. In his 18 years, he brought immeasurable joy, laughter, and light to everyone who knew him. AJ was a gentle giant who was respectful, mannerly, and very kind-hearted. He was a protector of his family, always looking out for his mother and sister. 

Antone was baptized in 2018 at New Beginnings Baptist Church in Spring Hill, Texas. He loved Church. He attended Spring Hill Middle School, where his love for football began, and where he played for several years. 

AJ was a senior at Longview LEAD Academy in Longview, Texas, where he was known for his quiet spirit. He had a passion for cars and loved being outdoors. 

AJ was loved deeply by his family and will be truly missed. He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother, Beatrice Johnson, Bettie Joe Durden, and his Uncle Saddast Durden. 

He is survived by his parents, Whitnie Johnson and Antone Jones Sr. His sister, Alaisha Jones, his brothers, his Nana-Sonya Jones, grandmother - Sharon Jones, his great grandmother- Vivian Joyce Johnson, Aunt-KeShun Howard, Uncles-Remone Johnson, Roderick Howard, Great Uncle Cedric (Erica) Johnson, Great Aunt LaKeitha (Arlando) Price, His best friend Renee Lovely, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. 

Though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made will last a lifetime. His laughter, his love, and his spirit will never be forgotten.

Services for Antone Craig Jones, Jr.,18, of Longview, Texas will be 1:00pm Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Jefferson Community Center in Jefferson, Texas with interment to follow at Kellyville Cemetery. 

Antone was born October 11, 2007, in Mount Pleasant, Texas, and transitioned February 23, 2026, in Longview, Texas.

Antone was 18 years old.
