Annie Louise (King) Miles

Annie Louise King Miles was born in Kildare, TX on December 7, 1949 to the late Wyatt King Jr. and Beatrice King. She was the youngest of their seven children.

Annie accepted Christ and was baptized at a young age. She has been a faithful member of St. John Divine Missionary Baptist Church ever since. Annie served in many areas of the church over the years, notably in the choir, with the youth and on the missionary board. At the time of her passing she was president of the Missionary Board. Annie was a prayer warrior and intercessor.

She never ceased from lifting her family, friends and community up to the Lord in prayer.

Annie was married to Reverend Jerry Miles Jr. for 56 years. They share two children together, Chauncey Miles and Carmen Davis. Reverend Miles was called to ministry in 1987. Annie supported him throughout his 27 years of ministry as a pastor in the CME church. She was very active with his churches and the Ministers' Spouses department during that time.

Annie graduated from Fairview High School in Linden, TX in 1968. Her caregiving nature led her to a career in nursing. Annie became an LVN in 1978 and went on to receive an Associate's Degree in nursing from Texarkana College, becoming an RN in 1991. Annie worked at Linden Municipal Hospital for more than twenty years. She spent the past 15 years at Christus St. Michael in Atlanta and worked right up to the day of her passing. During her time as a nurse, Annie made lifelong friends and impacted countless lives. Nursing was Annie's calling and she treated it as such, never missing an opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus

Annie passed away at her home in Kildare on July 15th. She has gone on to join her parents; Wyatt and Beatrice King, brothers: Wyatt, Donald and Opris King; sisters: Dorothy Brown, Rosie Harrison, and Marilyn King.

Annie's legacy will live on forever through the stories she shared, prayers she prayed, and the precious memories of those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Annie leaves behind her husband,

Rev. Jerry Miles, Jr., her son, Chauncey Miles; daughter, Carmen Davis, Son in Love, Montrail Davis, and grandchildren, Chauncett Miles, Andrew Davis, Asher Davis, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Services for Mrs. Annie Louise Miles, 73, of Kildare, Texas are scheduled for 12:00 noon Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Cornerstone Assembly of God in Atlanta, Tx under the direction of Lewis & Walker Funeral Home of Jefferson, Texas.

Mrs. Miles was born December 7, 1949 and transitioned July 15, 2023.

Annie Lou Miles was 73 years old.
