Services for Eddie Ray Parker Jr, 53, of Jefferson, Texas will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 11, 202 at the Jefferson Community Center.

Eddie Ray Parker, Jr. was born to the union of Eddie and Loretta Parker on October 13, 1966 in Jefferson, Tx. He grew up attending grade school in Jefferson where he became a very good athlete and singer. He earned the nickname Baby Ray by his peers throughout his high school years. He went on to graduate from Jefferson High in 1985. He joined the US Navy shortly after graduation and served his country for four years, fighting in Operation Desert Storm. He married and had two children before settling in Portland, Oregon , where he started his career as a chef for over ten years. In 2005, he returned to Jefferson where he lived until his death. His hobbies were listening to music, singing, cooking, and enjoying family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Ray Parker, Sr.; mother, Loretta J. Parker; two brothers, Edgar Ray Parker, Randell Parker; grandfather, Herman Parker, grandmother, Frankie White.

Those left to cherish his memories are his son, Mykel Ray Parker; special son, Bradon Rice; daughter, Alyson Parker; grandson,    Sabastian Parker; two sisters, Carla Ervin (Alvin), Shaniqua Ellis (Christopher); brother, Darrel King; two aunts, Margret Jones and Merlene Smith; uncle, Melvin White; two special sisters, Dedra Crowder and Christy Cole; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.
